From Quiet Observer to Active Participant

Will, sitting up and taking command of the room.

Will is 3 months and three weeks old now. He's got good head control and he spends a LOT of time looking around. He likes to sit up and face out. I swear he's an artist because he spends so much time just observing things. He does respond too. He now giggles and squeals. His laugh is "ah hah hah" with a big gummy smile on his face.

I think the Think Thing from Liz will become a favorite toy.

Another thing he's starting doing is walking! He's a genius! He can't roll over yet, but he's already walking. OK, that's an embellishment. If he's held standing he picks up his right leg really high like a parade horse and stomps it down. Occasionally he'll put it down and shift his weight and pick up his left leg. It cracks me up. He loves doing it. I can tell he's going to keep us on the go when he finally gets all the coordination under control. Oh boy!

Sequence of Parade Walking

We got a gorgeous Instep Jogging Stroller from Mike Mancini and McMurtrie, my friends from DC. Dave put it together last weekend and we plopped little one in it. It's a bit big right now for him. But we're eager to get off the pavement with the stroller and onto the trails soon.
